Who is Mrs Darley?

‘The light of the moon shone intermittently in the November sky as I sank beside the roaring fire in Mrs Darley’s cottage. ‘Listen,’ she whispered and pointed towards the window. ‘Whenever the wind blows from the east and the wind chimes dance in the moonlight, there is magic in the air.’ (From ‘Mrs Darley’s Pagan Whispers)
Those words were magical to me then and will always remain so, as they became my invitation to step into the void and begin to explore my own spirituality within the confines of an ancient Cornish landscape.
Upon moving to Cornwall in 1991, I became bewitched by its enchanting timeless beauty, which captured my heart and holds me still. Brooding and mysterious, the south-eastern edge of Bodmin Moor provided the wild backdrop against which the introduction to my magical training and love of nature began. It was here, through the often bizarre, yet strangely compelling guidance of Mrs Darley (my then next door neighbour), that I began to experience my own connection to the universe and the forces of nature. Here I became aware of the existence and polarity of a Divine female and male presence, both within the landscape and within myself.
